I wanted to share some pictures from our classroom Halloween party. I have always been blessed with *amazing* room parents and the parents that planned this party really went to town! (My sister from the Best Day Ever Blog helped plan everything!) The kids had a blast and it was quite an event! Most of the activities were done as a center and we rotated every 15-20(ish) minutes.
Have you every tried Monster Juice?? This drink isn’t just fun to make, it’s delicious and your students will love it!
Materials Needed for Monster Juice: Halloween Straws, Party Cups, Sprite, Cotton Candy, Gummy Worms, Swedish Fish, and Popping Bobas. (BTW: Popping Bobas are amazing!! If you haven’t tried them, you need to! They are yummy on cheesecake, ice cream, other desserts.)
Monster Juice Directions: Place a small spoonful of Popping Bobas, 3 Swedish Fish, and one gummy worm in the bottom of the party cup. Fill with Sprite, add straw, and one Swedish Fish to the top of the cup. Have students add a small amount of cotton candy and watch their Monster Drink fizz!
A caramel apple bar is always a crowd pleaser! You can use your imagination, but you basically need an array of apples, caramel, chocolate chips, candy corn, sprinkles, marshmallows, etc! My students had so much fun decorating their caramel apples, that they almost didn’t have enough time to eat them!
Halloween is all about dressing up, right?!? One of my room moms set up this awesome “photo booth” and brought tons of costumes, hats, glasses, wigs, etc. We got some really hilarious pics of the kids and they giggled the whole time! So much fun!
This FREE Don’t Eat Pete game is another favorite and it’s so easy to throw together! All you have to do is print and go! It’s perfect for class parties.
How to Play: (2-6 players) Place a small treat (candy, cereal, goldfish, etc.) on each monster. Send “Player One” away from the room and have the remaining players choose which monster will be “Pete”. Then have “Player One” return and begin eating the treats, one at a time. As soon as “Player One” tries to eat the treat that is on the “Pete” monster, everyone will shout, “Don’t eat Pete!!” Their turn is over and they will stop eating the small treats. (Obviously the object of the game is to eat as many treats as you can!) Repeat until all players have had a turn. And believe me, there will be a lot of repeats! (You can play with or without sight words!)
This next game, The Sounds of Halloween – Listening Lotto, is fun to play in a whole group setting. Instead of calling out the picture, your students have to listen to the “sounds of Halloween” in order to know which spot to mark.
